Pella Knights Announce It’s Upcoming Season In Pella

Pella, Iowa— The Pella Knights of the semi-Pro Football League is pleased to announce its upcoming season in Pella, Iowa. Owner Tom Lathrop has signed on Steven Miller as the Head Coach for the Knights and he and his staff are preparing the Pella Knights to be a premier semi-pro team in the Mid-West.

Coach Steve Miller comes to the Knights for his first year and is also will begin his fifth season as the Defensive Line Coach at William Penn University in Oskaloosa, Iowa. While at William Penn University, Miller has coached a powerful defense that has been ranked as high as second in the nation. Miller previously coached at Arkansas State, where he served as an Administrative Assistant Coach during the fall of 2007.

Head Coach Steve Miller will be on hand with his staff every Sunday to assist in evaluating players. The goal is to find one or more players to compete for a 2012 Pella Knights roster spot.

Owner Tom Lathrop and Coach Miller are working to bring Central Iowa together for one common goal, to support the Pella Knights. The roster is filled with players from all over the state of Iowa and pulls some stand-out talents previously from William Penn University back to the field.

The Pella Knights 2012 season of play is scheduled to kickoff in Early May.
