OUR CITY COUNCIL AT WORK

Recently I started the city required process of purchasing the alley adjoining my property. I filled out the application for vacation of the alley. The clerical process for this application cost $100.00 dollars to the person applying and is nonrefundable. The application went to the Planning and Zoning Board and was approved and put on the city council agenda. At the city council meeting my vacation of the alley application was permanently dismissed due to the lack of a motion. Not one of the seven city council members would even make a motion to give me the satisfaction of a yes or no vote for my time and cost. All I was asking for is equal due process and I feel the council has failed me as a tax paying citizen. A simple kindergarten process that turned into a council blunder at my expense. This is our city council at work. Remember them at the poles when you vote in November.
