Oskaloosa, Iowa – The Oskaloosa Indians boys basketball team kept the winning streak rolling on Tuesday night as they downed the Centerville Big Reds 92-65.

Oskaloosa Head Coach Ryan Parker said that with the strong performance there are still things the team can do to help shore up its performances in the future.

The defense is something Parker wants to continue working on, but says “we’re going to get better.”

The Indians proved to be potent both in the paint and from the perimeter, and Parker said that once the team starts shooting well, “We’ll be a really tough team to beat. Spencer Tucker’s finally caught fire.”

“What happens when you have really good bigs? Your shooters become open on the perimeter,” added Parker. “Our guards should be loving that.”

The Indians outscored the Big Reds in 3 of the four quarters, with a massive 39 points coming in the third period.

Spencer Tucker lead all scoring with 22, making 6 of 7 from three-point land. Xavier Foster added 19 points in the effort. Jared Kruse had 16, with Cole Henry adding 14.

With the Indians so accurate, there left little to get in the way of rebounds. Foster lead the Indians with eight rebounds. Kruse had six boards, while Henry pulled down four more.

The Indians improved to 4-0 on the young season, and are set to take on the Tigers of Grinnell on Friday evening.
