Oskaloosa, Iowa – The Oskaloosa School Board met Tuesday night, where they voted on their return to learn plan.

In that original plan, there was no mask mandidate for the school district. After comments from parents highlighting their reasons for or against masks, the board voted 6-1 in favor of leaving the plan in place as it has been, with no mask mandidate.

The board did vote to remove COVID-19 notification emails that would share a student may have been in the same classroom as a student that potentially had contracted the illness.

The effectiveness of these notifications had vanished after state contact tracing had ceased.

The board also accepted the resignation of Superintendent Paula Wright, who will retire at the end of June 2022.
