Oskaloosa Offense Too Much For Keokuk
Keokuk, Iowa – The Oskaloosa Indians are 5-2 on the season, with their two losses at the hands of Pella and Solon.
The Indians haven’t let those two games defeat their attitudes, as the team continues to improve, as both the students and the coaches continue to gel.
Oskaloosa Head Coach Jake Jenkins said the plan for Keokuk wasn’t any different than other teams, and that making big plays right away was important. Jenkins said the team came out ready to play after the long bus ride. “It was awesome”, says Jenkins.
The Indians are in the first year of a new offense, “so we’ve been waiting for it to really gel and click. It just takes time. It takes practice and it takes thousands of reps” said Jenkins about the time and practice the team has put in. “They’ve made tremendous strides. They believe in their coaches. They’re listening. They’re being very coach-able.”
On Friday, the Indians will take on the Washington Demons at home.
Washington is a wounded team at the moment, with their starting QB out for the season. The former number 1 ranked team is looking for a turnaround to their slumping season.
