Walston Ranked in Heart to Start 2026-2027
Oskaloosa–Gentry Walston (Jr., New Sharon, Iowa, Human Resource Management) is pacing the William Penn men’s wrestling team as the NAIA released its preseason conference and national rankings this week.
Walston is fifth in the Heart of America Athletic Conference at 125 pounds, while the Statesmen are 13th out of 13 teams in the league standings with 12 points.
Grand View is first in the Heart with 221 points.
Unfortunately, no WPU wrestlers are ranked nationally. Grand View tops the NAIA with 243 points, while Southern Oregon (218), (Life (Ga.) and Southeastern (Fla.) (both at 201), and Providence (Mont.) (165) complete the top five.
