Oskaloosa, Iowa – Oskaloosa News is proud to announce a partnership with Thunder County KIIC to bring live Oskaloosa sports to your computer and smartphone.

Veteran play-by-play announcer Jamie Brockman will be joined by William Penn Head Coach John Henry or Brett Doud.

Brokman said “I love broadcasting in general. I do it every chance I get. Since I’m no longer full-time radio anywhere, the past few years I’ve been doing things with CISN for girls state volleyball and basketball, IHSSN for state wrestling and boys state basketball, and I’ve worked with Joe and KIIC radio on a few things as well. With this new partnership, I see a chance to bring listeners maybe something a little different. It’s no longer a job to me, it’s me doing something I love and enjoying every second, and you’ll hear that passion and support of our student-athletes every time I’m on the mic.”

Brockman spoke about Henry and Doud. “Not only is he [Henry] a basketball encyclopedia but he knows these kids and this team as well as anyone. Brett Doud will also be joining me some, and we called the State Tournament games together last season on KIIC. He was an awesome addition. I covered Brett at Osky where he was a standout athlete, so it’s neat for me to now work with him.”

“I know KIIC and Osky News are both very well respected organizations, and we all want to put out a very professional product that listeners will enjoy,” added Brockman.

Joe Milledge, the owner of Thunder County KIIC, who’s studio produces a state-wide syndicated show, and brings you ‘Friday Night Lights’ with upwards of 9 area teams being streamed from around the area, has joined forces with us to help bring you live sports coverage to Oskaloosa. “It only seemed fitting that we join forces with Oskaloosa News to bring exciting play-by-play of Indians hoops from a guy who knows Oskaloosa sports – Jamie Brockman. Jamie’s passion, along with some of his well-known side-kicks like Brett Doud and Coach Henry, will make this season fun and eventful.”

Just before game-time, visit http://oskynews.org/ and click on the live broadcast to get the live feed from Brockman and team. We will also share the link to our social media to allow easy one-click access to Oskaloosa News Sport powered by Thunder Country KIIC.
