Oskaloosa Native avoids I-80 pile up

Oskaloosa native Ethan Spoelstra missed being in the middle of this large accident earlier today.

The accident involving 3 tractor trailers on I-80 just east of Bondurant had the interstate 80% blocked according to Spoelstra. “Everybody had to drive by on the shoulder” stated Spoelstra.

Spoelstra said he later seen the wreckers and a flatbed on their way out to untangle the mess. The 3 tractor trailers appear to be heavily tangled together with a car hauler just visible on the bottom of the pile.

Ethan wanted his family and friends to know he took this photo when he was driving at .4 mph and not highway speeds.

No reports of injuries or the cause are yet available on the accident.
