Oskaloosa MS Competes at Knoxville

by Coach Autumn Reisetter

Tonight we competed at the make-up Knoxville meet, which is normally very hilly. We relocated to Knoxville High School, which happens to be very flat. The kids ran 1.8 miles tonight, and we got to see how we measure to most of the teams we will see on Monday at our Little Hawkeye Conference. Our top runner of the night was Hailey Harbour coming in at 5th place, she pushed hard and competed well! The rest of the girls worked hard and ran well. The boys came out strong and finished even stronger! I was proud of the boys, from our 1st-6th runner our time spread was only 22 seconds. Even though we finished in the 4th place, we really worked hard tonight. I was very impressed! I asked the boys to bunch up and the last two meets they have done that and keep moving forward. I am excited to see how we do on Monday. All the kids have worked hard and improved over the course of the season, I love watching them improve each meet.
