Oskaloosa Fire Responds To House Fire On High Ave
Oskaloosa, Iowa – The Oskaloosa Fire Department responded to reports that a smoke alarm at a neighbor’s house was going off. The call came into the Mahaska County 911 center just after 11:30 p.m. Sunday night.
When the Oskaloosa Police Department arrived on the scene, there were visible flames inside the residence located at 1021 High Avenue East.
Oskaloosa Fire Chief Mark Neff said the fire was put out quickly, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
The Oskaloosa Fire Department was assisted at the scene by the Oskaloosa Police Department, Mahaska County Sheriff’s Office, and Mahaska Health Partnership Emergency Services.
