Oskaloosa— 12/17/18 — Oskaloosa’s newest performance venue, The Outer Space, located inside the Oskaloosa Arts Center at 115 1st Ave West in Oskaloosa, has been making plans to bring live music to Oskaloosa this winter.
TruBank is excited to be the title sponsor of the Winter Concert Series. The TruBank Winter Concert Series will start up on Saturday, January 19th and run through Saturday March 30th, 2019.
Event dates and performers include:
Saturday, January 19 – Adam Bruce
Adam is a singer-songwriter whose new EP “Amends” was released in November 2018. Des Moines Cityview says “Adam Bruce’s vocals are strong and defiant, reminiscent of a young Bob Dylan.” You won’t want to miss this amazing singer/songwriter.
Saturday, February 16 – The Cantafios
The Cantafios are a Vocal Jazz Duo who have performed in the Chicago area for years. It’s the perfect way to enjoy a romantic Valentine’s Day weekend! Get your significant other, bring a bottle of wine and get set for a night of fantastic jazz music.
Saturday, March 30 – Ducharme – Jones Band
Originally from Austin, Texas, Ducharme-Jones features the songwriting and performance of David and Annie Ducharme-Jones. Their songwriting is lyrical with strong harmonies, a hook to draw you in, along with solid, melodic, and sophisticated guitar. Their performances include many of their own songs, as well as their take on some of their favorite covers including, but not limited to Lucinda Williams, Gov’t Mule, Linda Ronstadt, Jimi Hendrix and Dolly Parton. Their love of different genres becomes evident in their eclectic style and performance.
Shows will be in the evening with opening acts and specific times to be announced. All events are free, donations will be accepted, with proceeds going to future events at the Oskaloosa Arts Center. Attendees are invited to bring their beverage of choice, or non-alcoholic drinks will be available for purchase. TruBank will have their popcorn popper at each event offering free popcorn.
