Oskaloosa 8th Grade Boys Run Record to 3-0 with wins over Pella and Knoxville

The Oskaloosa 8th Grade Boys basketball team traveled to Pella on 11-23-15 and came home a 56-36 winner in the “A” game. Xavier Foster played a very good game in leading the Indians with 16 points and 14 rebounds. Tyler Miller was next with 13 points, 6 assists and 5 rebounds. Colton Butler also had a good game with 11 points and 4 rebounds. Reece Sarver hit a couple of 3’s on the way to 8 points while Walker Newman and Iszac Schultz also pulled down 5 rebounds. Noah Van Velduizen rounded out the scoring with 2 points.

Oskaloosa dropped the “B” game 37-20. Dalton Deney led the way with 8 points. Sullivan Tighe was next with 7 points and Treyton Shilling rounded out the scoring with 5 points.

The Indians played Knoxville on 11-30-15 and rolled to a 62-21 win in the “A” game. Noah Van Veldhuizen and Reece Sarver hade their best game of the year scoring 14 points each. Van Veldhuizen also pulled down a team leading 8 rebounds. Foster was next with 10 points and Schultz added 8 points and 6 steals. Walker Newman had a good game with 6 points and 5 rebounds. Colton Butler had 4 points and Miller, Tighe and Schilling all had 2 points.

The Indians dropped a hard fought 16-15 decision in the “B” game. Dalton Deney led the way with 5 points. Andrew Scholes was next with 4 points and Schilling, Tighe and Owen Gordon each scored 2 points. Oskaloosa is in action next December 7th at Newton.
