Oskaloosa–Cameron Foster (Sr., West Jordan, Utah, Business Management) received one final honor in his brilliant career as the country’s collegiate bowling coaches announced their All-America teams Tuesday.

Foster, who won Midwest Collegiate Conference Player of the Year honors for the second time last month, was named to the Honorable Mention squad by the National Collegiate Bowling Coaches Association. It is his fifth career honor and second by the NCBCA (second team last year). WPU has now garnered eight All-America awards in its five-year history, including three from the NCBCA.

AJ Johnson of McKendree (Ill.) was named the nation’s Most Valuable Player, while Andrew Anderson of Davenport (Mich.) was Rookie of the Year. Wisconsin-Whitewater Head Coach Shawn Wochner received the Kerm Helmer Coach of the Year accolade from his peers.

The senior finished his final collegiate season with a 212.1 average in 78 games, including a high game of 290. Foster posted eight top-25 finishes (five top tens), including winning the Glenn Carlson Invitational in December. Collegebowling.com’s rankings as of February 16 had Foster rated 23rd in the nation in scoring average.
