OHS Student Council Hosting Gnimocemoh

Oskaloosa Indians

On Monday, January 22nd, the Oskaloosa High School is kicking off their week of festivities celebrating Gnimocemoh, or “Backwards Homecoming,” and they need your help! The Student Council invites all members of the community to sign up for the week’s first major event, Blind Volleyball, a unique take on volleyball where neither team can see the other side of the net.

The tournament will start at 6:00 p.m. on the 22nd. Team sign-ups are due Friday the 19th, and cost $30. All teams must have at least six players and no more than ten, and must also be co-ed. The tournament will take place in the high school gymnasiums. To sign up a team, email Mrs. Gile at gilek@oskycsd.org. All proceeds from this event will go to this year’s student council state project, “Colleen’s Dream,” a foundation raising awareness for ovarian cancer.
