No. 3 Sigourney Shuts Out NM Girls

NEW SHARON – North Mahaska managed just one hit off Sigourney’s pitching ace Carly Goodwin this past Wednesday in a 7-0 loss. Goodwin is one of the reasons Sigourney leads the South Iowa Cedar League and is ranked No. 3 in Class 1A this season.

North Mahaska’s Kaylia Shipman’s single was the lone hit for the Warhawks. Goodwin struck out 16. Jocelyn Pinkerton pitched for North Mahaska allowing seven runs on seven hits and two walks.

Goodwin helped her own cause with a double and homerun. Josephine Moore hit two singles and a homer.
