NO. 1 WARRIORS DRAW WITH SHARKS IN MIAMI

Miami, FL – No. 1 nationally ranked Indian Hills Men’s Soccer secured a 1-1 draw with Miami Dade College on Thursday night as the Warriors opened up its two-match swing in the Sunshine State. Indian Hills remains unbeaten on the year with a 2-0-3 overall record.

Making its first all-time regular season trip to the state of Florida, the Warriors erased a late 1-0 deficit to earn the draw with the Sharks on their home pitch. Sophomore Jules Dufour (Lille, France/St. Clair County) provided the heroics with his first goal as a member of the Indian Hills squad late in the second half.

As a team, the Warriors outshot the Sharks 19-11 on the night, including a 10-5 advantage in the second half alone. Indian Hills also earned a 9-5 edge in corner kicks.

Squaring off for the second consecutive year, Indian Hills and Miami Dade battled to a 0-0 result through the first 45 minutes of action in the opening half. The Sharks eventually struck first with a goal in the 62nd minute to take the initial lead.

With less then seven minutes remaining in regulation, the Warriors capitalized off a corner kick in the Miami Dade zone. Sophomore Leo Morley-Robertson (Colchester, England/Central CC) corralled the corner and played a ball into the box that found the head of Defour’s 6’4″ frame in front of the net for the equalizer.

The two sides battled over the next several minutes to earn the draw between two powerhouse National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) programs.

Freshman keeper Sean Suzuki (Sydney, Australia/Chatswood) earned the result in net with four saves for the Warriors.

Freshman attacked Saccu Ngum (Brooklyn Park, MN/Champlin Park) proved to be a force up top for the Warriors, firing five shots on the night, including four on target.

Indian Hills will return to action Saturday afternoon for a rematch of the 2025 NJCAA DI Men’s Soccer National Championship at Daytona State College in Daytona Beach, FL. Kickoff is set for 1:00 PM.
