August 24, 2026

Baldwin City, KS – The No. 1 nationally ranked Indian Hills Men’s Soccer squad secured its first win of the season with a 1-0 victory over No. 14 ranked Dodge City Community College (KS) on Monday afternoon. The Warriors move to 1-0-1 on the year.

Indian Hills dominated possession throughout the match with a 33-7 shots advantage, but it wasn’t until the 77th minute of the second half before the Warriors found the back of the net. Sophomore Jacob Klein (Cedar Rapids, IA/George Washington) put home a cross off a corner kick from Leo Morley-Robertson (Colchester, England/Central CC) at the 76:40 mark for his first-career collegiate goal.

The Warrior defense, backed by a strong showing from freshman keeper Sean Suzuki (Sydney, Australia/Chatswood), held strong the rest of the way to pitch the complete game shutout. Suzuki finished the contest with three saves between the pipes for his first collegiate goal.

Indian Hills outshot the Conquistadors 16-1 in the opening half and used a 17-6 margin in the second frame to control the match. The Warriors also earned a 9-2 edge on corner kicks.

Indian Hills returns to action Friday afternoon for its home opener as part of the IHCC Classic in Ottumwa. The Warriors will host No. 19 Snow College (UT) at 3:00 PM on Friday and No. 4 ranked Mohave College (AZ) at 8:30 AM on Sunday.
