Nelson Pioneer Farm

Thursday, May 16, 2019
6:00-7:00 pm
Bradbury Hall, Nelson Pioneer Farm & Museum

All are welcome to attend the launch of new program series, “The House That Daniel Built,” on Thursday, May 16 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. This program is the first of a 5-part series dedicated to the Nelson brick home and its occupants. Admission is free, donations appreciated. Light refreshments will be available.

Learn all about the Daniel Nelson family and his arrival to Mahaska County. We’ll introduce the basics of the house construction and the 2019 initiative to rehabilitate this 166 year old home. This evening is the launch of the community fundraising drive to complete the rehabilitation work.

Each month of the Nelson Pioneer Farm’s open season (May to September), there will be a session of this program series featuring interactive activities for all ages. All admission rates and donations will contribute to the rehabilitation project.

We hope you can join us!
