October 06, 2026
Lemont, IL – Freshman Evan Monaghan (Killina, Ireland/Killina Presentation) carded his second individual top-two finish on the year with a strong showing at the Flyers Intercollegiate at Cog Hill Golf & Country Club on Tuesday. Monaghan’s effort led the Warriors to a fifth-place team finish.
Monaghan was one of three individuals to place in the top-15, including two top-10 showings in the 88-player field. Monaghan, who tied for second overall, was joined by sophomore Nathan White’s (Canberra, Australia/Lake Ginnindarra Secondary College) ninth place finish and freshman Ronnie Gibb’s (Croxley Green, England/Croxley Danes) 15th place showing.
As a team, the Warriors fired round scores of 303-299-305-907 to finish with a 43-over, just six strokes back from a top-three team finish. Indian Hills has now placed in the top-six in three of its four team tournaments this season.
Monaghan climbed three spots on the leaderboard over the course of the final 18 holes of the 54-hole event thanks to a 1-under par on Tuesday. The freshman was one of just six individuals to record a round under par throughout the two-day tournament.
Monaghan boasted round scores of 72-75-71-218 to finish 2-over par. The freshman finished the week with nine birdies.
White collected his first top-10 individual finish of the year, and third of his career as the sophomore jumped four spots on the final day of competition. White tallied round scores of 74-77-73-224 to finish 8-over, including six birdies and an eagle.
Gibb, this week’s Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Athlete of the Week, produced another strong showing on the course to card his third top-20 individual finish of the year. The sophomore tallied round scores of 78-72-77-227 while adding nine birdies and served as the lone individual in the event to produce two eagles.
