Maxine (Wiezorek) Phillips was born on January 8, 1923 in Comstock, Nebraska the daughter of Tony Wiezorek and Jennie (Koziad) Wiezorek.
She was united in marriage to Marion Phillips on December 9, 1944 in Des Moines. The couple always made their home in the Pleasantville and Carlisle areas. Maxine worked as a clerk at the Drug Mart in Carlisle for many years before her retirement. She and Marion enjoyed being together and traveling to Texas every winter.
Maxine passed away on Monday, December 6, 2010 at the Indianola Good Samaritan Center at the age of 87 years, 10 months and 28 days.
Maxine was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marion, and 3 sisters.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandy (Roger) Abel of Carlisle; grandsons, Lance (Jackie) of West Des Moines, Lenny of Carlisle, Clint (Julie) of Hartford, Cody (April) of Carlisle; great-grandchildren, Addesyn, Cruz, Franklin, Laynie, Allie, along with nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
