Mahaska Hospice Auxiliary Sponsors Quilt Raffle

Tickets are on sale now for the Mahaska Hospice Auxiliary’s Quilt Raffle for a chance to win a Queen-plus size “Crazy” quilt, made by the Helping Hands Quilt Group of Oskaloosa.

MAHASKA COUNTY – Tickets are on sale now for the Mahaska Hospice Auxiliary’s Quilt Raffle for a chance to win a Queen-plus size “Crazy” quilt, made by the Helping Hands Quilt Group of Oskaloosa. The drawing will be held after Sweet Corn Serenade on Thursday, July 25 and raffle tickets will be on sale during the event.

According to Hospice Auxiliary Raffle Co-Chair Janet Farner, raffle tickets are $3 each or four for $10. Proceeds will benefit patients of Mahaska Health Hospice Services. “This raffle is another opportunity for community members to show their support for hospice services,” Janet explained.

“With our community’s strong support, the Hospice Auxiliary continues to make a positive impact on our local hospice services. We have remodeled the children’s room at the Serenity House, purchased special chairs and equipment for use both at the Serenity House and in a patient’s home, provide a bereavement bag for every family who has lost a loved one and recently, we purchased a concrete bench and handicapped accessible picnic table for the Serenity Gardens.”

Tickets can be purchased from any Mahaska Hospice Auxiliary member. Those interested can also email Farner at janetandchad@yahoo.com or visit the Mahaska Hospice Auxiliary Facebook Page for more information on how to purchase tickets and help support the hospice mission.
