OSKALOOSA, IOWA – Bob Vander Plaats has endorsed Mark Doland for Mahaska County Supervisor.

The special election will be held January 29th to fill the vacancy that was created when Ken Rozenboom was elected to the Iowa Senate.

“Typically I don’t get involved in local races,” said Vander Plaats. He continued, “However, Mark Doland is a strong voice for issues that I stand for, so I am glad to stand with Mark Doland as he asks for your vote for Mahaska County Supervisor.”

Bob Vander Plaats has been very popular in Mahaska County. In the 2010 Gubernatorial Primary, Vander Plaats received just over 65% of the vote. At the helm of the judicial retention elections, Vander Plaats led the campaign to oust the justices to victory with more than 70% of the vote in Mahaska County.

“I am honored to have Bob Vander Plaats’ endorsement,” said Doland. “We have worked together on the same causes for years now and that will continue,” Doland concluded.
