Lynnville-Sully Product Coming to William Penn

Kyle Soderblom is a two-time state placewinner

Oskaloosa–William Penn University wrestling coach Eric Reed has announced the signing of Kyle Soderblom to a letter of intent to attend the University in the fall and compete for the wrestling program.

Kyle, the son of Daryl and Carrie Soderblom, recently graduated from Lynnville-Sully HS.

The 189-pounder has placed twice at the Iowa state tournament, finishing seventh this past winter and fifth as a junior.

Soderblom owned a 167-18 high school record, including going 128-7 from his sophomore year through his senior campaign. He took an undefeated record of 45-0 into the 2011 state tournament.

“I am very excited to have Kyle joining our program,” Reed said. “He is a great athlete and he has an incredible work ethic. I am expecting him to make a big impact on our program right away.”
