Lucky Winner Gets Keys To Truck

Brenda Sytsma is handed the keys by Oskaloosa Hy-Vee manager Clete Hjorth to the new truck the Oskaloosa store gave away.

Oskaloosa, Iowa – A bright red truck has sat on the lot of the Oskaloosa Hy-Vee for months, and customers have entered to win the truck by shopping at the store.

Brenda Sytsma got the call that she was the lucky winner of the brand new truck.

Sytsma doesn’t show much emotion, and readily admits she’s not very excitable.

Sytsma said that “We feel blessed and are very thankful for this gift!”

Oskaloosa Hy-Vee store manager Clete Hjorth said that the promotion got their customers “very excited.”

Every time a customer at Hy-Vee utilized their rewards card, they were entered to win. Saturdays equaled two entries for every swipe. Over the two-and-a-half months, thousands of entries were generated.

Systema said the biggest prize she’s won before, may have been a door prize at a Christmas get-together, but she will no longer be able to say she isn’t lucky.

Winning the truck has helped the Systema family have just a little bit of a Happier Thanksgiving and a Merry Christmas this year.
