Local Teen Advances To All-American Miss Teen Pageant

Brooke Lunsford advances to All-American Miss Teen Pageant (photo submitted)

Brooke Lunsford, 17 of Rural Eddyville was a State Finalist and competed in the National American Miss Teen Pageant in Waterloo on July 23 & 24. She advanced to the All-American Miss Teen Pageant November 22-27 in Anaheim, CA where she will enjoy competing, Disneyland, and a Hollywood tour. Brooke’s activities include Band, Honor Band, Marching Band, Jazz Band, Choir, Speech, Drama, Community Theater (Ottumwa Community Players), NHS, Tri-M, Jr Red Cross, Thespian Club, Jel, Church, Volunteering, Performing at various community events, Competing at numerous talent competitions.

  • Winner Top Model ($250, trophy, entry pd into this competition at NAM Nationals in Hollywood)
  • Winner Academic Achievement Award (highest GPA) (trophy)
  • Winner Best Resume (trophy)
  • Winner Spirit of America award (trophy)
  • 2nd runner up Photogenic (Medal, Portfolio Award trophy)
  • 4th runner up Actress (Medal)
  • Participation Trophy
  • Ribbons for all events entered (Talent, Top Model, Photogenic, Actress, Casual Wear Modeling)
  • Qualified to compete in the National All-American Miss Teen Pageant Thanksgiving week in Anaheim, CA

Brooke will also be competing in the N Missouri State competition of the Texaco Country Showdown after winning the local event at the Wapello County Fair, and will be competing at the Iowa State Fair in the Bill Riley Talent Search on Monday, August 15.
