Local 8th Grade Student Qualifies For 2013 Iowa National Geographic Bee

Oskaloosa, Iowa – Oskaloosa Christian School 8th grade student Ethan Kelderman has qualified to compete in the 2013 Iowa National Geographic Bee. The Bee is sponsored by Google and Plum Creek.

Kelderman was chosen after winning the school’s competition, after which he took a qualifying test which was then submitted to the National Geographic Society. Kelderman posted one of the top 100 scores by the school level winners in the State of Iowa.

Kelderman will represent Oskaloosa Christian at the DMACC Campus in Ankeny on April 5, 2013. The winner of the state Bee will qualify for the National Bee in Washington D.C. on May 20, 2013.
