Linda Polson, 68, of What Cheer, died Sunday, January 27, 2019 at the Keokuk County Health Center in Sigourney. Linda Darlene Polson was born in Centerville, Iowa on June 13, 1950, the daughter of Robert and Sarah Milford White.

Linda attended high school in Ottumwa and over the years she has lived in Worthington, MO, Wellman, Knoxville and What Cheer.

Linda has worked as a cook, a house keeper, a stay at home mom and most recently she worked at Walmart.

She enjoyed racing and gambling at the casino. Above all Linda was a proud grandmother. Even while battling cancer and undergoing chemo treatments, she was never too sick to have her grandkids spend the night.

She is survived by two sons, Kris (& Jessie) Ruggles and Mark (& Misty Wurstur) Ruggles, both of What Cheer; a brother, Don (& Cindy) White of Sigourney; and a sister, Roberta McConnell of Washington. Linda also leaves behind nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents; her two brothers, David and Richard White; and her husband, Cliff Polson.

Funeral services will begin at 2:00 pm on Friday, February 1, 2019 at the Holland-Coble Funeral Home in What Cheer.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
Burial will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions maybe made to the family.
