Lewis Receives Second All-America Accolade

William Penn Women's Athletics

Oskaloosa–The final postseason teams have been released and Khyia Lewis (Sr., Ottumwa, Ottumwa HS) was rewarded for her great senior campaign as the National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced its All-American groups.

Lewis, a second-team pick, was the only athlete from the Midwest Collegiate Conference honored. The All-America laurel matches her second-team nod from the NAIA.

The right fielder concluded her collegiate career by leading the navy and gold in most offensive categories, including three of the big four: batting average (.364, 68-of-187), home runs (17), and RBIs (61). The MCC Player of the Year also scored 57 runs with 143 total bases, a .765 slugging percentage, a .459 on-base clip, and a school-record 32 walks.
