Law Enforcement Respond To Hedrick Bank Robbery

Hedrick, Iowa – In a press release on Tuesday morning, Keokuk County Sheriff Casey Hinnah confirmed they are investigating a bank robbery, but little else.

The press release states that on August 6, 2018, at approximately 2:40 pm, Keokuk County Dispatch received a 911 call in reference to a bank robbery at the Hedrick Bank, South Ottumwa Savings Bank, located in Hedrick, Iowa.

The release simply states the investigation is still ongoing.

No official word on how many suspects law enforcement may be looking for, or clothing they were wearing.

Scanner traffic at the time indicated one of the suspects was a white male, grey jacket with a hood and wearing black sweatpants.

They were also searching for a maroon Cadillac with no license plates.

In the press release, Sheriff Casey Hinnah said it was a joint investigation by the Iowa Department of Public Safety Division of Criminal Investigation, Keokuk County Sheriff’s Office, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, Wapello County Sheriff’s Office, Mahaska County Sheriff’s Office, Sigourney Police Department, Richland Police Department, Keokuk County Conservation, Federal Bureau of Investigation and Iowa State Patrol.
