Larson honored on volleyball all-tournament team
MILWAUKEE, WIS.— A career high in kills at the opening match of the Warrior Invitational was a key factor in freshman Krissa Larson (outside hitter, Waverly, Waverly-Shell Rock HS) being named to the all-tournament team.
Larson racked up 20 kills and .364 hitting percentage in a five-set loss to the host school, Wisconsin Lutheran College in the opening match of the weekend. She also had six digs in that contest.
She finished the three-match tournament with 34 kills, 15 digs, and six blocks.
It’s Larson’s second all-tournament team appearance of the season after being honored at the Gargoyle Classic hosted by the University of Chicago (Ill.).
Landry Luhring (freshman, outside hitter, Grundy Center HS) was named all-tournament team at the Red Hawks Invitational hosted by Ripon College and Melissa Miller (senior, right-side hitter, Williamsburg) was cited for all-tournament team at the North Park University Invitational.
Central ended the season with a 12-19 overall record.
