Krause Collects Attacker of the Week Laurel
Oskaloosa–Landon Krause (Sr., Appleton, Wis., Business Management) was a proficient and effective offensive star last week and for his efforts he was named Heart of America Athletic Conference Men’s Volleyball Attacker of the Week Monday.
Krause earned his fifth career weekly award (first of the year, fourth Attacker honor of his career) after leading William Penn to a 2-1 record last week.
The senior started the week by posting nine kills at a .320 attack clip against Mount Mercy last Tuesday. He then notched a week-high 18 winners (.184 hitting) versus Missouri Valley on Friday, while finishing the week with 17 kills via a .315 attacking mark against Culver-Stockton last Saturday.
For the seven-day span, Krause tallied 44 kills (3.67 per set) on a .315 hitting percentage in addition to five aces, 16 digs, and 11 blocks (two solos, nine assists).
The right-side hitter currently has 126 kills (3.71 per set) to his credit with a .355 attacking clip. He has also recorded 11 aces, eight assists, 53 digs (1.56 per set), and 31 blocks (three solos, 28 assists) in 2024.
The award is the second of the season for WPU.
