KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS ANNOUNCES THEIR ANNUAL DRIVE

The Oskaloosa Council of the Knights of Columbus to run their annual C.P.I.D. Drive
the week of Aug. 20 -27th. This drive familiar to people because of tootsie Rolls handed out for donation is officially the Campaign for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (C.P.I.D.). Members will put on their yellow and red aprons, collecting donations to help provide assistance to those needing to have extra care and help.

Members and friends will take turns throughout the community at various business locations. In addition you will find canisters placed around town. Tootsie Rolls are available for anyone wishing a sweet treat.

This drive is conducted throughout the state by the over 190 local councils in Iowa with proceeds staying in local communities. Here our council has assisted COC in Oskaloosa, Imagine the Possibilities, the Oskaloosa Schools Special Education Department and the Oskaloosa Special Olympics. The drive is unique because the local council underwrites all expenses so that 100% of money is uses for the intended purpose of the drive. 90% going to the various organizations listed earlier and 10% going to assist the State Special Olympics held in Ames Iowa each year. The community has been very supportive in the past and we ask for your generosity again this year.
