Kidtoberfest Fills Penn Central Mall

Visitors filled Penn Central Mall on Saturday for Kidtoberfest.

Oskaloosa, Iowa – Hundreds of smiling and jumping faces filled Penn Central Mall on Saturday, not only center-court, but nearly every other hallway and some store locations through-out the mall.

The Mahaska County ISU Extension Office handles the planning of Kidtoberfest which took place at Penn Central Mall from 10am to 3pm.

The purpose of Kidtoberfest is to help connect families with agencies that serve the needs of children and their families. That is accomplished by vendors like daycare centers and preschools being able to rent space, thus giving visitors access to many different options all in one place.

The fun things like inflatables and games, Tom Terrific and Dizzy The Clown are there to help make the environment a fun place to entertain while also educating about those opportunities available to families throughout the community.
