Keith Snook, 68 of Montezuma and formerly of Parachute, CO passed away peacefully Sunday morning, October 30, 2016 at his home. Keith Duane Snook, the son of Lester and Eva (Tish) Snook, was born on October 28, 1948 in Grinnell, Iowa.

Keith attended Grinnell Schools. On January 25, 1964, Keith was united in marriage to Patricia Gregson. They became the parents of Jerry, Scott, Jeffrey and Sheila.

Over the years, Keith and Pat raised their children and farmed. Keith worked for Golden Sun Feeds for 25 years and drove a semi for Solar Transport out of Des Moines, relocating them to Parachute, CO. He was also a skilled handyman.

Keith was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and enjoyed spending his free time with his family and grandkids. He also enjoyed wood working, traveling and bowling.

Keith is survived by his wife of 52 years Patricia; his children: Jerry Snook of Marshalltown, Scott (& Pamela) Snook of Mt. Vernon, WA, Jeffrey (& Brandi) Snook of Las Vegas, NV and Sheila (& Paul) Keplinger of Las Vegas, NV; his 11 granddaughters; one grandson; five great granddaughters; four great-grandsons; his siblings: Gladys Arthur of Pella, Francis Schillenger of Orion, IL, Eldon (& Reca) Snook of Grinnell, and Roy (& Kathy) Snook of Parachute, CO; two sisters-in-law, Joan Snook of Searsboro and Betty Snook of Montezuma; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his siblings: Lucille Tish, Floyd Snook, Willis Snook, Edward Snook, Betty Van Dee and Donald Snook; two sisters-in-law, Eleanor “Ellie” Snook and Phyllis Snook; and three brothers-in-law: Keith Arthur, Marion Van Dee and Walt Tish.

Funeral services will begin at 10:30 am Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at the Holland-Coble Funeral Home in Montezuma.
Burial will be held at the Pleasant Township Cemetery in Ewart.
Visitation will begin after 12:00 pm Tuesday, November 1, 2016 with the family present from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Montezuma Fire Department.
