Kathleen Kelly Vilcone, 30, of Oskaloosa passed away, January 23, 2014, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, where she had been admitted on January 21, 2014 due to complications from juvenile diabetes.

Katie was born in Long Beach, California, on May 29, 1983 to Dennis and Debra Draper Vilcone. Katie moved to Oskaloosa, Iowa in May, 2006.

Katie was an active member of LifeHouse Church in Oskaloosa.

Katie leaves to mourn her memory her loving daughter, Aylah Nicole Vilcone, her father, Dennis Vilcone, step-mother, Linda Vilcone, brother, Bryan Vilcone, all of Oskaloosa; her mother, Debra Lambert of Oregon; sister, Shanna Hoitt, California; step-brother, Greg Arnold, Nevada; grandmothers: Audrey Draper, Oregon and Mary Kay Lambert, Davenport, Iowa; and many aunts, uncles and cousins living in Oregon, Iowa and California.

Preceding her in death was her grandmother, Helen Vilcone, and grandfathers: Stanley Vilcone, James Lambert and George Draper.

A celebration of Katie’s life will be held from 5-7 p.m., Monday, January 27, 2014, at Garland-Van Arkel- Langkamp Funeral Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family would greatly appreciate donations payable to Aylah Vilcone to be deposited into her college fund.
