The Oskaloosa Girls tennis traveled to Grinnell for the conference meet on Monday.
The lone bright spot for the girls was Jolie Yang & Riz Alesna winning the #2 Flight Doubles. As a team, the girls finished in 6th place with Pella winning the conference.

#1 Singles Bracket: Darian Jaquez Lost to #2 seeded Jordan Bandy from Norwalk 1-6,1-6 that put Darian in the consolation bracket paired up against Gillian Ferguson from Grinnell. Darian played hard but fell short 2-6,0-6.

#1 Doubles Bracket: Ashley Drost and Laura Fay Lost to Paige Bily & Miranda Murphy from Indianola 4-6,2-6 with the loss the pair would get sent to the consolation side of the bracket. In that match they would face Hanna Blom & Abbi Nunnikhoven from Pella. Ashley and Laura played hard but came up short 3-6,5-7.

#2 Singles: Jillian Jennings first round match would be against Allison Coffey from Indianola. Jillian played hard but fell 2-6,1-6 to Coffey. This put Jennings in the consolation side of the bracket where she would face Rachel Lesley from Norwalk. Jillian played her best singles match of the season but came up short 3-6,4-6

#2 Doubles: Jolie Yang and Riz Alesna was the #1 seeded team. In the first match, the girls played a little tentative but would prevail 5-7,6-1,1-0 (14-12 Tiebreaker)over Jenna Agey & Ellie Riter from Norwalk. This would put the girls in the championship match versus the team of Lisa Dykstra & Makenzie VanMaanen. The girls wasted little time by taking the first set 6-2 and would eventually take the second set 6-3. Jolie & Riz really wanted to win and they showed it in this match.
