John Denver Musical Tribute To Perform at the George Daily Auditorium
OSKALOOSA, IA— Thanks to popular culture, John Denver’s music is echoing across the world once again. Ted Vigil’s John Denver Musical Tribute pays homage to this musical icon and is for long-time fans and new.
Ted Vigil is a singer, songwriter, tribute artist, and longtime fan himself of John Denver. His tribute is not an impersonation of Denver but aims to honor the man whose music resonated with the whole world. Not only is Vigil a fan, he strongly resembles a young John Denver. Many fans have mistaken his photos as actual John Denver photos. He has the look and has perfected his performances to be as polished and close to Denver’s originals as possible. Vigil has been performing and developing his talents since a very young age. He did not set out to be a John Denver tribute, it happened by accident, and the act just stuck. In 2012, Vigil was awarded the Rising Legend Award by the Nation Traditional Country Music Association and was honored to be on the Kings of Country Tour in Australia, starring other tribute artists of Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson. They toured 20 cities across the continent. Vigil performs internationally and brings John Denver’s greatest hits to audiences across America.
This tribute concludes the George Daily Auditorium’s professional season, but there is much to look forward to this summer! The George Daily Youth Theatre will celebrate 20 years of serving area students. What started in 1999 as a single summer production has grown into a year-round theatre program supplementing arts education while enhancing creative thinking skills and building confidence.
