Jeremy Michael Craycraft, age 33, of Lovilia, passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2019, in Ottumwa, Iowa. Jeremy was born on July 17, 1985, in Ottumwa, IA, to Robert Lynnwood and Maggie Lee Craycraft.
Jeremy attended schools in Albia, Knoxville, and Oskaloosa, IA. On August 24, 2013, he married Tangi Marie Caudill in Albia. This union brought Jeremy 7 children, Edwin and Clara Caudill, and Ollie, Ivan, Victor, Harvey, and Archie Craycraft.
Jeremy was very talented with his hands and loved to build and create things. He was a talented welder and fabricator “extraordinaire”, (as he would always say), working at Caudill Portable Welding Shop in Albia until taking a job at Relco in Albia, where he was currently employed.
Jeremy enjoyed playing video games with his children, being outdoors, especially mushroom hunting and fishing, and enjoyed working with his uncle Mike. Above all, Jeremy was a very loving father who loved spending time with his children.
Jeremy is survived by his wife, Tangi Craycraft; 6 children: Edwin Caudill, Clara Caudill, Ivan Craycraft, Victor Craycraft, Harvey Craycraft, and Archie Craycraft; his mother, Maggie Craycraft; a brother, Justin (& Misty) Craycraft; a half-brother, Cody (& Sierra) Craycraft; a half-sister, Kayla Craycraft; his grandparents, Carolyn (& Kenny) Hill; 4 special uncles: Michael (& Christine) Craycraft, Harold (& Brandi) Manser, Jeff Manser, and Jim (& Bev) Manser; and a special cousin, Justin (& Jessica) Manser. Jeremy is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Ollie Craycraft; his father, Robert Craycraft; a brother, Chad Lee; his grandmother, Betty Manser; and his grandfather, Franklin Craycraft.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service on Saturday, March 16, 2019, at the Tharp Funeral Home in Albia, with Jeremy’s family present.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 16, 2019, at the Tharp Funeral Home in Albia, with Pastor Jeremy Skinner officiating.
Burial will follow services in Oak View Cemetery in Albia.
An open memorial has been established to Jeremy’s Children.
