JAZZ AMBASSADORS of The United States Army Field Band
Leading into Veterans Day, the Jazz Ambassadors of the United States Army Field Band will perform a free concert at the George Daily Auditorium in Oskaloosa on Monday, November 7, 2022, at 6 PM. TheJazzAmbassadorsistheofficialtouringbigbandoftheUnitedStatesArmy.Formedin1969, this 19-member ensemble has received great acclaim at home and abroad performing America’s greatest original art form, jazz.Concerts by the Jazz Ambassadors are programmed to entertain all types of audiences. The band’s diverse repertoire includes big band swing, bebop, Latin, contemporary jazz, standards, popular tunes, Dixieland, vocals, and patriotic selections, many of which are written or arranged by members of the jazz Ambassadors.
The mission of the U.S. Army Field Band is to connect the American people to their Army by telling the Army story and honoring our Soldiers and Veterans at home and abroad as the Musical Ambassadors of the Army.
The Jazz Ambassadors have appeared in all 50 states, Canada, Mexico, Japan, India, and throughout Europe.
