Obituary:
Funeral services for James Ryan Calhoun age 21 of Pleasantville will be held on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the Mason Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Swan Cemetery. The family will receive friends 2 hours prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for Ryan’s daughter, Sophia. Ryan was employed by S&S Machine in Pleasantville and by Lowe’s in Des Moines. He is survived by his fiancé, Katie Quinn; daughter, Sophia; parents, James Michael and Bobbi all of Pleasantville; sisters, Courtney Calhoun of Pleasantville and Megan Harvey-Griffith (Kevin) of San Diego; grandparents, James and Darlene Calhoun of Pleasantville and Dean and Shirley Davis of Hornick, IA; great grandmother, Cleo Calhoun of Pleasantville; in-laws, Theresa and Jerry Heck of Pleasantville and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
