Iowa Court of Appeals to hear Oral Arguments at University of Iowa College of Law March 8-9

Des Moines, March 2, 2011— The Iowa Court of Appeals will hear oral arguments for 26 cases when it convenes at the University Of Iowa College of Law on Tuesday and Wednesday, March 8 and 9 in Levitt Auditorium in the Boyd Law Building, 130 Byington Road, Iowa City.

The arguments are open to the public. Parking is available in lots 14 and the Field House ramp.

Oral arguments are ordinarily heard in the Iowa Judicial Branch Building in Des Moines. Scheduling the oral arguments in different locations around the state is an opportunity for the public to view the court at work. The visit at the College of Law in particular, where judges will speak to classes and meet with students, is intended to familiarize law students with the appellate process and the judicial branch of government.
