Indians Season Ends On The Road

The Indians raise their 4th straight playoff trophy on Friday night. Their season came to an end against Lewis Central.

Council Bluffs, Iowa- The Oskaloosa Indians made the long three-hour bus ride over to Council Bluffs to face #3 Lewis Central Titans in the first round of the 3A Football Playoffs.

Lewis Central hit the gas right away, never looking back, and defeating Oskaloosa 44-0.

Lewis Central had 21 first downs, while Oskaloosa had two first downs on the evening.

Lewis Central had 426 total yards of offense compared to just 47 total yards for Oskaloosa.

Titans Bryson had five rushing touchdowns on the night. Bret Kobes had one rushing touchdown, while Zach Shudak kicked a 42-yard field goal.

For Oskaloosa, Tyler Miller had 12 yards of total rushing, and Wyatt Krier had seven yards.

For Lewis Central, Bowman rushed for 229 yards while Kobes added 53.

Will Schultz had 35 yards passing on the night, with a long of 14 to Cooper Spry.

For the Titans, Kobes had 82 yards in the air, with a long of 30 yards to Colbey Roth.

Cooper Spry lead the Indians in reception yards with 23 total yards.

Defensively, Leland Evans lead the Indians with 11 total blocks, while Aaron Blom had 10. Cody Gunn had nine total tackles, and Tyler Miller had seven.

Three Titans had five tackles each. Tevin Statzer, Nick Miller, and Hunter Deyo. Logan Katzer had four total tackles.

The Indians finished the season 6-4, with their fourth straight playoff appearance in the past four years.
