IHCC To Sponsor Events For International Education Week
OTTUMWA — Indian Hills Community College will be sponsoring a series of events next week (Nov. 13 – 17) in observance of International Education Week. Institutions across the United States and around the world are hosting activities to recognize international students, education abroad and internationalization.
With nearly 150 international students enrolled this year Indian Hills will use the week to showcase the diversity at the college. There will be a display of the various countries where the IHCC students are from, an international-themed movie and snacks, international karaoke, calligraphy, and a dance.
Indian Hills will also be flying, in the formal lounge area, the flags of the countries of international students, both current and past.
There is an International Student Organization at IHCC and they have been instrumental in planning the week’s activities.
