Hazel V. Lee

Hazel V. Lee, 100, of Oskaloosa and formerly of Fremont died on Friday, December 9, 2011, at Crystal Heights Care Center in Oskaloosa. She was born Sunday, April 23, 1911, in Mahaska County west of Cedar, Iowa, the daughter of John Ernest and Lulu Hodgson Brubaker. She graduated from the Cedar Consolidated High School with the class of 1930. Following she went to work in a grocery store in Hedrick until 1964 when she moved Fremont. On January 15, 1956, she was united in marriage to Harold B. Lee at What Cheer and he died on September 11, 1995. She lived in Fremont until 1998 when she moved to Oskaloosa. She was affiliated with the Baptist Church at Fremont.

Her family includes her cousins: Florine Stapp of Greenfield, Missouri, Donna Simpson of Bakersfield, California and Beverly (&Jim) Harris of Oskaloosa.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and several cousins.
