Hafner Runner-Up At Grinnell

by Coach Bret Foster

It was a windy/chilly meet at Grinnell and Oskaloosa finished 2nd tonight. As a team, we finished with a respectable 167 considering the conditions. Austin Hafner came back after a tough start to shoot a 38 (+3) and was the meet runner-up. Lucas Bunnell fired a 42, Hogan Rockhold 43, Carter Parks 44, Joe Glasgow 45 and Noah Van Veldhuizen 47. We have to be able to play in tough conditions so it will be a good learning experience for the team.

JV also competed and struggled a bit. They shot a 238 and finished 2nd. Sullivan Tighe led the way, followed by Mason Ford, Zach Noel, Jake Gatton, Carter Waddington, and Dominic Purdum.

JV will be back in action Monday at the Newton JV invite.

Varsity will host the Oskaloosa Invitational on Tuesday, joined by an absolutely loaded field. 15 teams will be there in all and many of them are some of the top teams in the state.
