GRINNELL’S FITCH IS MWC TENNIS PERFORMER OF THE WEEK

GRINNELL, Iowa – Grinnell College’s Catherine Fitch ’13 (Edmonds, Wash./Lakeside School) has been named the Midwest Conference Women’s Tennis Performer of the Week.
Fitch was a perfect 9-of-9 in her matches over the weekend to lead the Pioneers to four team wins. She won singles matches against Monmouth College, Knox College, Carroll University and Lake Forest College while competing anywhere between the No. 3 through 5 spots.
She posted doubles wins against the same schools as well as Illinois College, competing at either the No. 1 or No. 2 levels with Laura Krull ’13 or Hanna Feldman ‘14. Fitch is now 6-1 in singles play and 7-4 overall in doubles.
