Governor Branstad issues disaster proclamation for Johnson County and Clinton County
DES MOINES – Gov. Terry E. Branstad today issued a disaster emergency proclamation for Johnson County in response to this week’s severe winter weather.
The governor’s proclamation allows state resources to be utilized to respond to and recover from the effects of these storms, including for removal of snow.
This is the eighth emergency proclamation issued by Gov. Branstad this week. Previously, disaster proclamations were issued for Cedar, Delaware, Dubuque, Jackson, Jones, Lee and Scott counties.

The Governor’s proclamation allows state resources to be utilized to respond to and recover from the effects of these storms, including for removal of snow.
This is the ninth county that has been declared by Gov. Branstad related to last week’s storm.
Counties declared disaster emergencies related to last week’s storm are: Cedar, Clinton, Delaware, Dubuque, Jackson, Johnson, Jones, Lee and Scott counties.
