Girls Track Competes At Newton

The girls team traveled to Newton on Thursday night. There were 14 teams in this “last chance meet” to qualify for the Drake Relays and the girls came home with a 5th place finish.
Individual champions included:
Sophia Dykstra in the disc who threw at Drake Relays Blue Standard distance of 134-10 which was over a 9-foot personal record.
Emma Kelderman won the high jump with a mark of 5-2.
There were 7 other personal records set for the team tonight.

Drake qualifiers should be posted sometime on Friday.
The girls will be back on the track next Tuesday in Grinnell.
