Girls Golf Host 11 Teams To Invitational Tournament

On Thursday April 18 the Oskaloosa Girls Golf team hosted 11 others schools in their Invitational Tournament at Edmundson Golf Course. The weather was the toughest opponent for the girls, with it being cool, cloudy and windy. Grinnell won the event with a team total of 372, followed by Washington’s 378. Bella Amudor-Lacson of Grinnell was medalist carding a 84, while Kiki Guo of Washington was runner-up with an 85.

Oskaloosa placed 10th in the 12 team field with Nikki Parlet leading the way, followed two strokes back by Kamryn Banks and Lexi Hougland. Ava VandeWall was four strokes off of Nikki’s pace, with Ashlee Smith also playing in the event.

On Tuesday April 16th the girls traveled to Keokuk to compete in a triangular meet that also included Mount Pleasant. Osky would finish second on the evening behind Mount Pleasant. Recording a season team low of 227. The Indians were paced by Kamdyn Banks and Nikki Parlet each carding a 53 for the Indians. Lexi Hougland and Ava VandeWall rounded out the scoring with a 58 and 63 receptively.
