Geraldine “Gerry” Ross, 94 of Montezuma passed away Friday morning, November 16, 2018 at the Montezuma Specialty Care. Vera Geraldine Ross of Montezuma, Iowa was born on November 8, 1924, the daughter of Leonard and Mattie Stout of rural Mahaska County.

Gerry attended and graduated from Lacey High School in 1941.

Gerry was united in marriage to Homer Randels on May 25, 1941 at New Sharon, Iowa. To this union three daughters were born, Connie, Cathy and Cheri.

She moved to Montezuma and worked for Dieomatic, Inc., for 16 years.

She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Grinnell. After the loss of Homer in 1971, Gerry was united in marriage to Mike Ross on March 28, 1978 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Grinnell, Iowa.

Gerry was an avid Hawkeye fan, loved gardening, her flowers, mowing, sewing, reading, and camping. She loved her family and grandchildren very much.

Gerry is survived by her children: Connie Noble of Iowa City, Cathy Grosenbach of Pensacola, FL, Cheri (& Miles) Hidle of Pensacola, FL, and Pete (& Sandy) Ross of Montezuma; eight grandchildren: Virginia Ann Noble (& Sergio Rivas Flores), John David Noble, Julie Boswell, Jeff (& Lee) Grosenbach, Julie Creel, Jennifer (& Shannon) Little, Matt (& Megan) Ross and Kyle (& Betsy) Ross; and ten great grandchildren: Lakota, Nikolai, Grace, Jacob, Austin, Blake, Dominique, Beckett, Hunter and Heath.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Mattie Stout; husbands, Homer Randels and Mike Ross; children: Matthew Ross in infancy, Dan Ross and Kate Ross; her son-in-law, Tom Noble; and her brother, Ray Stout.

Funeral services will begin at 10:30 am on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at the Holland-Coble Funeral Home in Montezuma.
Burial will be held in the Union Mills Cemetery.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Holland-Coble Funeral Home of Montezuma is in charge of arrangements.
